Destination -> Guangxi province

Located in southern China, Guangxi shares a 1,020-kilometre border with Vietnam and has a 1,595-kilometre coastline along the Beibuwan Gulf. Most areas of Guangxi province are still lagging behind the nation's economic development. However, its intact and aesthetic scenery offers you an unforgettable experience.

 Nanning
Nanning was a medium-sized market town until European traders opened a river route from Wuzhou in the early twentieth century, starting a period of rapid growth which saw the city supplanting Guilin as the provincial capital. Now as the Capital city of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Nanning has grown rapidly into a regional economic centre and tourist destination. It has an urban population of about 1.3 million. With the Yong River flowing through and picturesque scenery, Nanning is known as a garden city. It has two beautiful parks: The Bailong Park and the Nanhu Park. Other interesting sights in the vicinity of Nanning include the Detian Waterfall and Yiling Cave. ......

In recent decades, although development and exploding tourism are changing the face of this beautiful city, Guilin has remained one of China's greenest and scenic cities. ......

 Beihai
*A*Beihai has an urban population of about 400 000. The city is so positioned on a broad peninsula that the main seafront coast is to the north of town. There are hill in its northern and northwestern parts. The city centre is marked by a roundabout at the intersection of north-south orientated Sichuan Lu, and Beibuwan Lu, which crosses it at right angles. The older part of town is along the seafront and on Zhongshan Lu, where mouldering colonial buildings add to the sleepily tropical atmosphere. The harbour is best in the morning when the fresh catches arrive, and there's a fabulous fish market here selling every type and part of sea life imaginable. ......
